Shared SkypeUserMappings.xml

Nov 17, 2008 at 8:36 AM

Currently the SkyperUserMappings.xml file is stored outside of source control which implies that every developer needs to create a copy of this file that contains the mappings of the Skype-->TFS user accounts in his/her AppData\Roaming\TfsCommunity\Collaboration\Skype directory.  As the new TFS Powertools already creates a TeamProjectConfig directory in Source Control, I would suggest that the SkyperUserMappings.xml be added to this directory in source control to make it easy for the rest of the team to share the same mappings.

Hello Carel,
thanks for your idea about sharing common mappings accros the team.
I think the mapping should be divided into two parts, common and private mappings.
There are some mappings that you don't want to share with your team members.
The common part could be saved at TFS version control (like custom controls) and the private data are remaining at roaming folder.
What do you think?
